It was good, but there were a few immature moments from both main characters which is fair enough they are only 30ish, but just felt irritated a few times. The ending annoyed me, a major part of one of the characters stories was that her mum left the family when Lisa was 18 and she had to take on a lot of adult roles, finally after the entire book having this as a huge part of Lisa's issues they are about to sit down for a chat and we don't get to hear the chat....

This is the first book in the series, but I accidentally listened to the third book, dare to stay first.

As a whole I enjoyed this book but I didn’t find the characters as likeable and well described as they are in the other books in the series.

The narration was excellent. Defo worth a listen, but don’t quit after the first book.

I really enjoy listening to Georgia Beers writings and Abby narrating ( brilliant! as usual..)

I have now listened to the 3 stories all centered around the rescue centre and have loved every minute with all these characters. Adored Lisa and Ashleigh... what lovely complex characters ... I had it finished in 2 days!

Thank you Georgia... you left me wanting for more...

This just didn’t seem to have much of a plot and I found myself skipping forward hoping it would pick up. Narration was good but the story never got going for me

i understood Lisa side alot more felt more connection to her character. it was sweet story of someone letting themself love.

Set in an animal sanctuary , well recreated. I enjoyed the insight into animal rescue, being an animal lover who has just fostered a dog, it resonated with me.
Emotionally withdrawn but confident Lisa, meets happy but too passive, in her life, Ashley. To make it work between them, they each have to change and grow, emotionally. This process was shown with emotional intelligence, and I really related to the difficulties of one of them…..

Loved it- a warm love story, with some depth, well read

Cute story, I listened it last from the series and not my favourite, but I enjoyed it tho. But Jessica's and Catherine's stories was even better, so if you read this first, keep goin!
