It just feels like it's trying too hard

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The Book

The crudity and swearing are just a bit over the top and it all feels terribly forced harshness and brutality rather than trying to scare you.

The Production

The narrator still continues in his standard monotone with a forced sounding voice thrown in occasionally.
