About this listen
My husband hates me. But he’s also the only man who can save me.
Taken by a stranger, Santiago is my only hope. Except that I don’t know if he’s dead or alive. And for as cruel as he can be, the thought he might be gone is unbearable.
But he has nine lives, my monster.
He’s not finished with me yet. And soon I’m back at The Manor. Locked in my room. At his mercy.
I know I am despised. I know I have become the face of his vengeance.
But there’s something else, too. Something between us. It’s a dark and gnarled thing. And it has its claws around my heart.

Book 2….. Poor Ivy
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
Following on from the dramatic events at the end of the first novel, this book is on another level in terms of its darkness, intensity and anxiety. Santiago is angrier than ever, and his sense of betrayal and revenge has grown even deeper.
Caught up in the fall-out of the events at the end of book 1, Ivy's situation is even more perilous and alarming. Poor, poor Ivy. Santiago is so full of fury.
This novel is so intense. I was filled with anxiety and on edge throughout listening. This story isn't for the faint-hearted either! Santiago is the complete anti-hero wrecking the hearts of the listener, and destroying all that can be good between himself and Ivy. But somehow these two are oddly and completely drawn to each other. All this couple need is some trust and faith, which is no where to be found.
This book is entertaining, gripping and a bit scary in places, ending on another heart-stopping cliffhanger. I really enjoyed the narrators.
