Summary
Yoshiro escaped a career of crime with the mafia after they killed his family. For five years, he's dropped out of life. All he wants this Christmas is to be left alone. Then, Ebony and her kids accidentally crash onto his property during a snowstorm. For three years, they've been running from her husband - who's been more monster than man.
The storm picks up. They are forced to remain with Yoshiro until it dies down. And the threat of Ebony's monster remains, lurking within the shadows and threatening her safety. But Yoshiro knows all about death and blood. Her monster doesn't scare him. What has him terrified is that heartwarming feeling sparking between them. The more time Yoshiro spends with Ebony, the more she becomes a Christmas present that he's dying to open. Beautiful story, love, redemption and revenge
Hooked from start to finish plus some spice. A mother who didn't let her children down and found love. Check for trigger warnings.

Finding love ❤️
Yoshiro had experienced loss and pain. When Ebony and her children break down on his property a new life finally begins. Ebony was running from her crazy violent ex. The two get on well and chemistry starts to sizzle. The kids were adorable and Ebony was a wonderful mum always putting them first. I’m so glad they both got the happy ending they deserved.

Redemption
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read/ listen to action, love building, heartfelt, funny at times…keeping you on the edge. Brilliant story line Love it. Will now read/ listen to more from the author Kenya Wright plus great narrated by Mari & Eric

heartwarming story
Really good story with some funny and heartbreaking moments, so has the whole package. The only thing that let it down for me, was the repetitiveness of some of the language used. I could literally forsee what would be said during the sex scenes. I also thought Wyatt's "ending" was anticlimactic and overly graphic. The narrators were very good and portrayed the emotion just right.

What storyline!
I have to admit that this book sat in my library for about 8 months before I read it, and what a read it was. Extremely engaging (apart from Wyatt’s gruesome hacking) but fantastic read!

Honestly one of the best books I’ve listened to
I’ve listened to a lot of books, usually fantasy. I stumbled across this book and didn’t really have high expectations but I was soo pleasantly surprised. The character development and intensity of the story was extremely impressive. It could possibly be triggering for some but the end made it all come together. It was well written.
