really loved the characters the world and the story. I know that even with movement ashlock being tree hampers the author in showing and not telling but struggled with some of the longer parts. otherwise as brilliant as prevoius ones.

Between Ashlock himself and his allies, there's a lot of character progression in this book, as well as good action scenes. It's also very light on stat screens, which makes it ideal for audiobook format; it doesn't have the issue that many other LitRPGs suffer from which requires listeners to pause what they’re doing every so often to skip a minute or two ahead.

I love the originality of the LitRPG series in general, and this one in particular! Vampires, witches, werewolves, demons…old hat! The format is still traditionally relatable, survival against the odds: but Ashlock, the demonic tree, is a unique protagonist.

overall awesome, great progression through the main stories. i wouldn't mind tangent book series with Diana joining the persuit, Nox's new life as a tree and the 3 mortals who became cultivators. this fan hungers for all the story chi! can't wait for the next one!
