Summary
They hunt us. They bomb our worlds for target practice.
A star cluster in the constellation of Orion rotates once every thousand years. Those who rule there have an ancient tradition: When each cycle ends, they train their fleets by spilling the blood of lesser beings.
The enemy fleets are coming again. In response, the Rebel Worlds gather their starships to face the terrifying threat, and this time humanity is asked to stand with them.
The last time they considered Earth, Vikings in longboats were raiding English coastlines. Today, we're less primitive. Today, we're a target.
One man is chosen to command Earth's single ship in the Rebel Fleet. When the war breaks out, Leo Blake must win it...or die trying.
"Classic B. V. Larson. This book grabs you by the plasma cannon and won't let go. Fast adventure, fast action - and I loved the space-battles!" - S. Arthur

Simply kept me enthralled, one I just couldn't stop listening to, finished in two days, highly recommended for all those Sc-Fi fanatics out there.

BV does it again.
I am not sure what exactly it is that makes BV Larson's various book series such a good place to escape to? Lord knows it's rarely pleasant for the protagonists. But after Star Force, Galactic Liberation and Undying Mercenaries I started the Rebel Fleet series and was far from dissatisfied. Mark Boyett nailed the performance as expected. Once again I'm left wanting more military sci-fi, fleet battles and tricky shenanigans that get us earthers into and out of so much trouble.

So different
This is a great story. I love science fiction but sometimes I feel I’m reading the same thing over and over. Not this time! So very different and well worth a credit. Excellent narration too.

Great Developing Story
This is a beginning and there could be so much more to come in following books. i hope the writer can follow through the development.
For those of us that remember earlier works. have a little more imagination. see past the similarities listen to the story not the voice and you could enjoy this more. the narrator is as previous books brilliant.

Good Sci-Fi
I thoroughly enjoyed this title, well written and performed. A believable universe and compelling story. The main character reminds me of real world military officers, thinking they are always right and perpetually infallible, that got pretty old fast.

Good but
I kind of enjoyed this book but it’s not really as engaging as the ‘world’ books. Personally I won’t be bothering with the rest of this series. It’s a bit on the grim/dark side for me.
