Summary
Quarterback Holden Moore can have any girl he wants.
Except me: the coach’s daughter.
With piercing green eyes, herculean biceps, and irresistible dimples, Holden is the number one target for every girl on campus. But according to his teammates, football is the only love of his life.
He’s their leader, their QB1 and team captain who is all business and no play.
But when I’m with him? Mr. Serious isn’t serious at all. He loves to push my buttons, to pin me with those sexy eyes of his and tease me until I bite back.
I remind him I’m off limits.
He can’t have me, and I don’t want him—or anyone else, for that matter.
I’m here for one reason: to show my father I'm more than his greatest disappointment.
But when an old injury flares up and I’m forced to work with Holden every day as his athletic trainer, his attempts to get under my skin start becoming harder to resist.
We can’t give in, no matter how much the air crackles between us when we’re close.
I’m the coach’s daughter, and if Holden Moore wants to go pro, he’s got to play by daddy’s rules.
Otherwise, he’ll be off the team.
And he’s not the only one with something to lose.

Qb1
I have been loving this series, and Holden & Julep we’re no different in that aspect.
But can we talk about the family issues? I understand familial expectations, but for dad to be controlling his grown daughter, limiting who she dates and doesn’t? The coaches daughter is always an excellent taboo, but I also want dads that don’t subscribe to prehistoric dating rules. But that could just be me.
The trauma bonding in this one was HEAVVVYYY, and it made their character traits make a lot of sense.
I just know I am every bit of excited for Leo next.

Fave book in the series!
- shes the coaches daughter, his athletic trainer and a badass pole dancer
- hes the star quarerback and team captain of his college football team
- hes never been interested in dating anyone until he meets her… the girl he cant have
I love this whole series so far and QB Sneak may just be my favourite
There was a whole sequence of events which had me screaming into a pillow because they were just that good
I don't want to spoil this masterpiece with specifics but if you've read this you'd know; Julep pole dancing with Holden watching across the street, the club scene, and then the pool scene.... I'm not okay
Also the PT room post the east champ win had my emotions all over the place 🥺🥰😭
And lastly I'm still in shock with the epilogue (in the best way possible) like it's a good happy ending but it's far better than I thought it could be

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt
Kandi Steiner continues to wow me with another amazing novel set in her “Red Zone Rivals” series, a series of sports romance novels, each book features different lead characters and stands on its own, though each book is as amazing as the other and I recommend them all. This third book is Holden Moore’s story, last season an injury left him benched, but QB1 and team captain is back in top form and ready to kick butt. Nerves are high and there is some uncertainty in the air because they have a new coach and they are not sure how he is going to run the show. The new coach has one hard rule to stay away from his daughter, who will also work with the team as an intern with the training staff. Julep Lee transferred colleges when her dad got a new coaching job, she is in her third year studying sports medicine. Both these characters have suffered tragic losses in their past, Holden when he was younger and Julep’s loss is a little fresher but she is just coming out of the fog he had been in for the past few years, years she screwed up and is back on track, her father wants her close so he could monitor her, hence his over protection of her. Julep lives across the street from the pit, the home that some of the team members live, including Holden. She has not been the friendliest person to him, but when Holden suffers another shoulder injury, Julep gets assigned to work with him to start his rehabilitation. OMG, the chemistry between these two is undeniable and absolutely electric and they could only deny each other for so long. Once they crossed that line, they risk everything, including Holden’s dream, to go pro football, because that is in the hands of his coach and pissing him off would not be smart.I loved the complexity of these characters and all the layers to their story, both past and present, a story that is wonderfully plotted with the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Kandi Steiner, thank you for the amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Edward Black and Amy L. Levin were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Black nailed it as Holden, grasping every side of his personality, from a swoon worthy player to a softy with a heart. Levin did the same for Julep, grasping every side of her personality, perfectly broken and trying to stay afloat and trying to live again. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the character’s emotions which were heard in their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

What a story!
When I say these narrators stole the show, they really stole the show. They impersonated Holden and Julep to a "T" and I was blown away with how well they brought these characters to life! If I had to picture how these characters would sound, Kandi picked the right people. Now to the story. It was everything. Kandi creates stories that make you feel every emotion and her writing is so real. She doesn't shy away from writing the hard stuff and it makes her books that much better. I knew Holden was hiding a past that was going to hit me hard. Julep is also struggling with her past. Together these two are both living life differently, one with a smile on their face and the other just trying to get by. What happens when they can't stay away from each other? The best secret of their lives! Man these two were incredible! Every scene with them together burned off the pages. I could not get enough of them and the story was perfect! I love this group of football players and significant others and I'm so so excited for what's next! Another amazing audiobook by Kandi!

Beautiful Slow Burn Romance!
This is the third book in the Red Zone Rivals Series, a Sports Romance. Holden and Julep's forbidden romance is beautifully written, sweet, emotional, steamy, funny, and engaging, filled with angst, and secrets. The characters are well developed. Holden, the quarterback, is handsome, and enigmatic. Julep, the off limits coach’s daughter, is beautiful, smart, and kind. Their past is heartbreaking. The chemistry is sizzling hot. They are perfect together. This is a beautiful slow burn romance. The brotherhood is amazing. I loved to see again the characters from the first books in the series. Edward Black and Amy L. Levin did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Hail Mary, the next book in the series. (ValentinePR)

Forbidden romance
I enjoyed this audiobook. Fair Catch was great I loved getting glimpses of the past couples again. Holden was a great character and I liked Julep but never really connected with either character like I wanted. I cannot pinpoint what the problem was....possibly mood for me.
I thought the narrator was good, but not great. I really disliked the voices she gave to Holden's Uncle and his partner. She gave his partner, a man, a feminine voice and that irked me. Just cause he's gay doesn't mean he has to sound feminine.
Overall, it was a decent story and as always, excellent writing. Looking forward to Mary's story next.

Holden and Julep are HOT and emotional.
After finally catching up on this series I was stoked to get stuck into Quarterback Sneak. Being a fellow pole dancer I love that Kandi wrote pole into Julep’s journey. I, like her, found an unexpected community when I joined my studio. The pole community can be so inclusive and uplifting. Julep felt that and needed it to escape the suffocating guilt she was dealing with. Holden is completely captivated by Julep from the start and although he’s warned off her by his coach (her dad) he tastes the forbidden fruit anyway. Just one taste wasn’t enough and soon they were engaging in clandestine trysts. HOT trysts too. The build-up to the first kiss is delicious and Kandi draws you in with all the anticipation of what’s to come. Then once the dam broke it was on, on like donkey kong, baby! They were stealing “moments” whenever and wherever they could and as always Kandi writes some dee-licious spice. Mmmmmm mmmmm! But it’s not just hot and heavy there are really tough things and deep emotions. Julep is struggling with her past and Holden gives her the space to work through it while being supportive and just present. I loved how their relationship develops from lust to love.
I have to say Edward stole the show for me in this one. His narration was great. He has a delicious raspy tone to his voice and I wasn’t sad listening to him talk about getting hot and heavy with Julep. Amy gives an emotional performance in Chapter 20 so brace yourselves.
Such a great story and addition to this hugely popular new adult sports romance series.

Fantastic, emotionally driven story!
It's Kandi Steiner's writing style that always draws me in. She has an easy cadence to her writing and I just fall into her stories head first. This is the third of the Red Zone Rivals and it features Holden, the Quarterback and Julep the daughter of the coach. Off limits from the first encounter with the new coach, the players made no moves on her. When Holden injures himself though, and he has to go to her for physical therapy after being teased with her pole dancing, the attraction grows. Until it explodes. But it's not the forbidden part of the story that intrigues me, though sneaking around does make it hot! It's the emotional baggage both of these characters carry. Steiner is a master at weaving in relevant issues, and this story is full of them. Each one, is dealt with compassion and love, and at times my heart was breaking. And Steiner heals it back together each time. It's a fabulous story, and a lot of fun when we get to hear our other favorites like Zeke and Riley coming in. I loved every minute of this one and look forward to the next!
Edward Black is new to me as a narrator, and he nails the part of Holden. He is arrogant and vulnerable, carries it all with each scene and gives every emotion it's all. Amy L Levin is Julep, full of attitude until she's not, and makes her real. She has a lot of issues, and Julep is brought to life with the nuances of Levin's voice, letting us live through her grief and love. This is a perfectly cast story and one you are sure to enjoy.
