One morning in 2008 he fell into a coma after suffering a rare form of bacterial meningitis. Scans of his brain revealed massive damage. Death was deemed the most likely outcome. As his family prepared themselves for the worst, something miraculous happened. Dr Alexander's brain went from near total inactivity to awakening.
He made a full recovery but he was never the same. He woke certain of the infinite reach of the soul, he was certain of a life beyond death. Unlike other accounts of near-death experiences, he is able to explain in depth why his brain was incapable of fabricating the journey he experienced. Required Reading
Any doubts about an afterlife are blown away by this wonderful narration. Dr Alexander intertwines the spiritual and material worlds in a very heart warming way.Like his experience It drives me to explore further.

Hope
I needed to hear this account to ease the grief after the death of my 12 year old son October last year, it has not made me a believer but it has given me a little hope.

Great real story
This was beautifully writing & kept me intrigued. But I found the real heaven experiences explanations very short, I wanted more.
But maybe that was the beauty of it all also.

An amazing story everyone should read.
I'm not a religious person, this is a very interesting book. It has made me doubt my previous assumptions on the subject of afterlife and different worlds. I think even if you read it and still felt that the ideas are still not conceivable you will still have enjoyed the book. I will look at more books which cover this topic as it is fascinating. I hope it's all true .

Good book, reaffirming what I believe to my core
