this story's a nice listen if you are after something malodic to fall asleep to. it's not exactly enthralling, nor are you reaching to listen to more, though it's not without its charms and is worth a listen if your looking for a laid back story

My daughter, aged 9, simply adored this book, although my son, aged 7, found it a bit boring. It is a pleasant story of girls from a backward, rural and isolated community being trained for life in a sophisticated court, set in a very slightly magical middle-ages type kingdom. The reading is good, and there are some humorous and some rather harsher moments.
