When I first read this book it was like a breath of fresh air. It began a journey for me that has already changed my life. To hear the book narrated by it's author brings an extra dimension to it, and I can listen in to it in the car! If you want more from life, to be your own boss and take control of your life then you must, must purchase this book. Make a brave decision and stop letting other people control your life.

An incredibly easy to follow book by Alexander Seery an inspiration to any officer wanting real support and freedom. The book follows Alex on his journey from custody to entrepreneurship along with others who have also taken the steps to success. Each time i find something new. The bible for your new life as an entrepreneur

The first book you should read as a cop

When I came across shifts to success I did my research. This book was a real eye opener and started my new journey. It gave me the confidence to believe I can do better and more with my life.

Once you have read this book look at the Facebook group, watch the you tube videos then you will see that this book is life changing and Alex has changed lives.

I remember the author from his time as a DO and can still remember how helpful he was within his role then.
Times that helpfulness by 1000 and you get a good picture of his book.
I didn't want it to end and felt like a growing sponge throughout the whole read.
Don't waste anymore time and just read the book or listen to it in my case.

Motivating speaker, but having studied business I felt like there was nothing to learn. I was waiting hoping for more but in the end gave up.

This is a relatively useful book that will give you the start of an entrepreneurial journey; however, it is not a detailed pathway to completely starting a business and getting it off the ground.

The author is well intentioned and has some good advice. I have listened to a few others of a more general entrepreneurial nature, so some stuff was not new to me personally, but this book is useful as a starting point and it’s nice to have a police flavour if that’s where you’ve spent your career to date.

There are some heavy doses of naivety in my opinion - especially towards the end - which detract from the overall outcome. The book is clearly written by a young man (no offence intended - I’m not that old myself!) but this will jar slightly for those who have spent a good few years in the police service and who have a bit more of a rounded view of life. For example, there are a few points where the author strongly suggests that those who are wealthy in society have worked hard to get there (not always true) and that hard work will always lead to success in the end (not always true). It’s appropriate for the author to buy into capitalism given the nature of the book, but I think the naivety about the system does detract.
