first time listening to this author, wow what a book, will be looking for more books by this author if there as good as this one. 😍😍

I started out really enjoying this story, but it ended up being too plot driven, with a plot that felt contrived. The characters were interesting, but needed more development somehow. It felt unrealistic. I also wish that the author could study the basics of when to use "(Name) and I" and when "(Name) and me". Anyone can get it wrong, but to consistently use "and I" every time is incorrect and annoying. I learnt this trick at primary school: Remove the "(Name) and" from the sentence to find out whether it makes sense. The narrators were both good, especially the male narrator, but sadly (spoiler alert), we lost him quite early on, with the dad's death.

Really enjoyed the first part of the book, especially Colin Mace narrating. When we lost him I didn’t enjoy the female narrator at all or the story from that point

The beginning held promise with brilliant narrative from Colin Mace. However, the story continued very slowly with far too much flowery unnecessary language. I skipped an awful lot but still got the gist of the plot.
