About this listen

Discover the secrets to smart money management — achieve financial freedom and live life on YOUR terms!

Imagine you're hanging out with friends on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Everyone's showing off their latest purchases — the newest iPhone or that exclusive Taylor Swift concert ticket. But while your friends flash their cards or Apple Pay, your heart sinks. With every tap, cha-ching, or swipe, you're confronted with a grim reality — financial FOMO.

Money issues are not exactly new for you. For example, think back to your first paycheck from your summer gig. The thrill of seeing your bank balance rise, only to watch it dip just as quickly with car insurance, gas, and phone bills. This may be hard to believe, but you're not alone. The majority of teens are juggling these very challenges, armed with only fragmented pieces of money wisdom, most of which come from 2 a.m. YouTube rabbit holes. After all, it’s challenging to make sense of money in a world where Snapchat streaks are easier to handle than credit scores. But what if you had a guide? One that gets the challenges of social pressures, influencer pulls, and those first big money decisions?

Think of this as your GPS to finances… not written by a distant, jargon-spewing economist, but by someone who has the teen soul in mind. It acknowledges your battles against peer pressure, the social media tug-of-war, and those first-time financial leaps (and missteps). It speaks your language, understands your world, and aims to turn your financial confusion into clarity.

Here’s what awaits you inside:

The essence of personal finance tailored specifically for the modern teen — no more scratching your head for alien-looking words or terms

The 9 psychological reasons driving those spur-of-the-moment buys (why you feel the thrill one second then regret them the next)

The truth about budgeting — understand how to make every penny count without feeling deprived

6 fun money-saving challenges

I really like all the up-to-date info about scammers and fishing. These are things that teens should know. This book has all the good basics regarding finance for young people, but I like the extra touches they put into it. Well done. My favorite chapter is chapter 7 on smart spending habits. Boy, I wish I had this book as a young person! I hope to help my teen NOT make the same money mistakes I did. Definitely a good book.

Lots of great info!!

The ability to understand, use, and make your money work for you is a very important skill. This audiobook handles this complex subject by mixing theory and practice. I feel that both teens and adults could benefit from following the tips laid out in an engaging way, as many audiobooks about money can feel dry.
