I loved this amazing book so much, the colorful and imaginative characters and creatures, the intriguing and captivating story that drew me in right from the start and the wonderful, precise and flawless writing that lets the story flow. A good narration can take a brilliant story and turn it into a completely new and even more brilliant experience. This audiobook is another wonderful example. The narration is perfect and to the point. You can see the different characters, you get pulled in and can't stop listening. Another absolutely amazing book and audiobook by an author whose books are some of my favorites that I have read and re-read and listened to countless times.

I enjoyed this book so much that I should have waited for more of the series to be available before I started listening. Now I have to kick my heels till the next instalment.

Smart, savvy heroine who makes some strong choices and a story that gallops along at a good pace.

wow considering karen writes phenomenal books i was hoping this would love up to my expectations and i have to say it didnt disappoint, The story had me gripped through out and i feel invested in the characters already jessie is a feisty red head and she definitely knows how to look after herself and her brother ! i LOVE lukus i really hope he comes to his senses in the next book and that jessie gives him hell all round this story is everything weve been waiting for the narration was spot on and i really enjoyed listening it will definitely be one i go back to again and again 💜

I loved this authors previous books, so I was not too sure about this new series. But the author surprised me with this one. It is totally different with suspense, tension and intrigue.
I am dying to find out what happens next. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Love this storyline, so original with a strong female lead. I particularly enjoyed the idea of her little pixie brother who’s just adorable.
The narrator really brings the characters to life and makes certain scenes sound so dramatic when they need to be.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to listen to number 2!
