Long, but for good reason. Didn’t find myself flinching at the parts of stories I usually don’t enjoy. Really good characters, mature story. The flashback style or memory scenes (not a spoiler, you’ll know what I mean) felt like my least favourite parts but that doesn’t take away from the book or the story. Really good listen. Very excited for Revenant-X!

Space horror? Just take my money.

This chunky book was a great listen, i really enjoyed most of it. The story was fascinating, the characters interesting, and it had AI-s and a robot.
I loved the horror elements, and how the virus worked.
I wish the robot was more robot like and his connection to the humans he just met wasn't 0-100 in milliseconds. I wished for more focus on them. And them to be voiced better tbh.
The pacing... yes that could have done with a bit more work. The end is dragged out to the point it nearly lost me, and it put a lengthy halt to the events.
I realised too late it's going to be a trilogy, i would have left it unread till it's all out otherwise, but i guess I'll just have to read it now one by one. Roll on August 2024...
Overall it's a great sci-fi horror, and looking forward to continuing the series.

I really liked this book and the horrors within, my only issue is the end is a little abrupt. I won't spoil but I think it should have ended a little earlier.

Enjoyed the book very much.

The world, characters, horror aspect was great .

the fighting and battles had a different feel to them than your typical space book.

I loved the robot.

my only negatives is the last hour or so does slightly drag.

and as many have said the ending is and was a very poor choice.

really enjoyed this book, it was very well written and imaginative. the characters were good, the level of detail I'm descriptions was very immersive. recommend to anyone who likes sci fi horror

so this is like a first contact story with a mix of birdbox ( the movie ) mixed in. a crazy psychological story set in spae. absolutely loved it. definitely recommend.

I don’t know if the authors intent was for his lead character to sound like a whiny, entitled brat but that is exactly what the narrator made her sound like, story is way to long and padded out

Overlong and terrible narration

This was just so hard going. I gave up at chapter 15 as it just seemed like I'd gotten no where.
Found the narration to be very droning and monotonous as well.
