About this listen

One day, in a peaceful lizardman village, an ominous messenger visits with a warning from the Great Tomb of Nazarick: In eight days' time, they will be annihilated. Unwilling to stand by and wait, the fighter and traveler Zaryusu journeys to the other lizardman tribes--who have received the same message--hoping to form an alliance against their impossibly strong opponent. But though the warriors try valiantly to resist, Ainz Ooal Gown and his undead army hold the power to determine their fate...

While not my favourite chapter in the Overlord story, I found I enjoyed this much more than when I watched the anime version. This is down to the great voice acting and writing.

A great chapter in the Overlord Story

big fan of the anime so loving the light novels. but good lord does Victims' "eggshell white etc" speech pattern REALLY not translate well to audiobooks! skip those bits and you're golden

absolutely brilliant

Laughed out loud, several times and even shed a tear towards the end. Chris is a talented VA and really brings life to the story.

A worthy entry

Chris Guerrero is a joy to listen to. I enjoy the series a lot and he bring such life to all the voices.

ein weiterer Teil einer tollen Serie! Der Sprecher passt perfekt & die Story geht genauso hammermäßig weiter wie die letzten 3 Teile :)

Absoluter Hammer!

I really enjoyed the Lizardmen perspective it really made me question if Ainz is a good guy or a bad guy. Voice acting is very good each character is easily distinguishable. Enjoyed the lisped voiced at the end lol.

W Lizards and Voice

First off, I love the series to death. Currently hooked on Isekais (trapped in another world) and consumed way too much of it.

But listening to a grown man moan and gush zealously in their best attempt to bring a female character to life made me want to die out of cringe.
Would it be better if it was a woman voicing the female characters? yes but only slightly

I will still purchase the books and support the author, but I will not listen to more of them in audio form.

Now, just so that it is said, the Narrator was amazing and did a perfect job of portraying the characters as they actually are. So the fault is really with the characters themselves.

I guess the blind, crazy and Zealous "affection" really really turned me off when I didn't have it delivered through a different language.

Why I don't watch anime with English Dub
