Summary
One bad roll catapults them into a new world...
Five friends, gamers for life, gather for their usual game night. Yet, when they use a strange new die they are transported to a fantasy world where all gaming ideas can come true.
Together, the party must join forces to deal with the vile Necrolord whose plans will not only threaten this world, but Earth as well. Should be easy for a team of adventurers, but when gaming and real life meet, there are situations which cannot be anticipated.
Will Samo use science to solve all her problems? Will Wyatt always resort to violence? Will Bourbon discover lost treasure? Will Falcon restore his kingdom. Will Melf, the bard, find his pants?
All questions and more will be answered in the Fifth Era Apocalypse! A new action-packed and hilarious LitRPG Adventure from Ryan Rimmel, bestselling author of Noobtown.

thoroughly enjoyable, I wasn't expecting it
I chose to listen to this on impulse, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed the story. the narrator does an excellent job of narrating the multiple characters in this story. each of them sounds unique and have their own personality, which plays off really well with the other characters and have great internal conflicts with their real-life counterparts.
I will be listening to the sequel when it comes out.
recommended.

fun story - great links fo noobtown
I really enjoyed this book (not as much as noobtown) but it was a fun listen. The characters are loveable, the battles are enjoyable some dawn right hilarious and the plot is interesting. I do plan on continuing this series but hope that the next book is longer.

enjoyable
at first the story was a bit confusing with the characters dipping in and out of their game/real names. enjoyed the story though. narration, as always my mcclain, was top notch. Will be getting second book.

Oh my god, it's soooo boring
To start with, Noobtown is one of my favourite series, So I had high hopes for this.
But damn, I hate all the characters, they're so shallow and dull. Hell they're barely 1 dimensional.
I've got over 400 books in my audible library. This will be my second return.

Forgettable and fairly dull
I am a big fan of Noobtown but this audiobook is a miss for me.
The start was promising but, much like the player characters, lack and kind of depth to allow me to invest in them.
I quit the book at chapter 20 when I realised I didn’t care enough about the characters to worry about who was doing what.
The narration was excellent as usual but unfortunately this series is going on my ignore pile
