About this listen

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door there was going to be trouble. Lots of it. And trouble's the last thing I need, since I'm not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet 13 billion light-years away. Plus, if there's one thing I know, it's that humans can't be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. Cuz they are. But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her - or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I'm the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one girl might mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy - the Arum - and I need to stay on my game. Falling for Katy - a human - won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that's one thing I'll never let happen.

I absolutely love this book. Rob Shapiro really captures Daemon's personality perfectly. Great read.

Great narration of an amazing book.

This series is one of my all time favourites. I've read the books several times and when these audible versions finally appeared I knew I had to listen.
This book is book 1 but in Daemons point of view. It fills on a lot of the questions of how his is to Kat in the beginning.
The narrator is brilliant. Just wish book 4 was available in audible. The only one of the series not on audible. These are included in the membership at the moment so definitely recommend you listen.

Awesome with awesome sauce on top.

I absolutely adore this series. It’s a comfort. Like coming home. Despite this being my second re-read I couldn’t put it down!

Never a disappointment

It is a bit annoying in all books that they’re pronouncing his name ‘demon’ but as someone else said you get used to it. Loved this POV and the narration.

Loved Daemons POV

Loved to hear his side of the story, and Rob Shapiro did an amazing job getting Deamons thoughts through

The storyline is so boring and repetitive. I had to quit listening after chapter 12. Dee sounds like a child who is denied a toy. Every one kept telling her how dangerous it is to bring a human into their group. But she kept insisting, specifically when she already lost her older brother. How selfish someone can be putting not only her life in danger but Kats and her brothers too, the only family she has left.

Too many pauses in middle of a sentence, endless repetitive emotions and feeling's about his kat, very slow narrative, very slow very mundane story save your credit
