About this listen

Bahzell is no knight in shining armor, and besides he has too many problems of his own to be messing with anybody else's problems - let alone the War God's. Unfortunately, the War God has other ideas for him.

Critic reviews

"Weber builds [worlds] with a nice eye for detail, above-average knowledge of history, and a pleasing amount of wit." (Booklist)

I loved this book when I first read it and listening to it just makes me love it even more. The back and forth banter between Bahzell and Brandark is just perfect. The racial stigma that the Hradani are subjected to is portrayed extremely well. The combat is fast, furious and brutal. The world is built with incredible depth with a great selection of additional characters.
