About this listen

Houston... we have a problem.

Ezra Miller’s life has been turned upside down ever since his best friend hooked up with an alien named Al, and not just because he walked in on them having close encounters of the third kind. In the year since he discovered the truth about extraterrestrial life, Ezra has accidentally become the sole person the Darvrokian race trusts to act as Earth’s intergalactic representative, which is great and all, until he's assigned a Darvrokian coworker plucked out of his worst nightmares.

Titan Leon is everything Ezra hates in a man. He’s arrogant, presumptuous, and worst of all, hot enough to make Ezra forget why he hates him in the first place.

Hot enough that “absolutely not” turns into “only this one time.”

Hot enough that Ezra can overlook the fact that he’s Al’s most disliked brother.

But one time isn’t enough for Titan, and he won’t take no for an answer.

He’ll do whatever it takes to make Ezra his.

And sure, he’s an asshole… but as much as Ezra hates him, he can’t help but see that there’s something softer about him lurking just beneath the surface. Something more than Titan lets anyone else see. And whatever that something is, it has its hooks in Ezra so deeply, he can’t help but fall into bed with him over and over again.

With the same sense of humor and earnestness as Crash-Landed in Love, Not Written in the Stars is a witty contemporary alien romance that explores the ideas of identity, belonging, and choosing your own path in life, while tackling tough questions like: how much sand is needed to fill a room in your mansion? Is $100 enough to tip your new friend, Uber driver Carlos G? And how many Slim Jims are customary to put into a gift basket?

Please note that while this story takes place on modern-day Earth… life finds a way.

The usual excellent narration. I'm curious about how the sound effects for the Davrokian language were made.
Story - a second episode of a very amusing although sometimes too over the top series. Ezra's disgust at Titan's character was very much warranted. The redemption was really good. The different slang period used by another Darvrokian made all the other extreme slang use much more tolerable.

good

So good, just so good, I really am going to find it difficult to find the patience I need whilst waiting for the next book to come out.

Even though we know Corbin is the next human, we don't know which alien will he be matched will.

I do hope the next book isn't the last in the series as i would like to books for, Kyle, Mercy, Luckless and Lennox. Keeping my fingers crossed.

You will not be disappointed with this book and I have already listen to this book so many times it's not healthy and it's only been available for 10 days. It's just so funny and gives me all the feels that i just can't resist listening to it again.

Holy smokes, what a treat! When I started the audio version of Not Written in the Stars I had no idea it was the second book in the He's Out of This World series lol. It soon became obvious I was missing something, but Piper Scott and Renee Fox did an excellent job of explaining it all and I never felt lost. You can believe I'm going to buy Crash-Landed in Love immediately so I can get caught up. This one does work as a standalone.

The characters are so original and charming, the dialogue is witty and laugh out loud funny, and the wacky cast kept me entertained. What a great idea for a new alien/human world!

The audio version of Not Written in the Stars is beautifully performed by Michael Ferraiuolo. I love how he uses sound effects to vocalize the alien language - wonderful!

I adore Piper Scott and this new series she’s writing with Renee Fox is a hoot. Instead of dragon shifters, I’ve got aliens who come from outer space, who land in the south western US, and who try to integrate seamlessly into society. Given the quirkiness of many Americans, these aliens fit right in.

First to arrive was Al. He fell in love with Jude and, as fated mates, they were able to conceive a clutch of baby aliens. Uh…okay. Ezra, Jude’s friend, witnessed some of the birth and knows no one’s every making him pregnant with eggs that eventually hatch into lizards that can take on human form. Uh…hard no.

When Ezra meets Titan, Al’s older brother, he’s struck by the man’s beauty and his conceitedness. The guy’s ego can barely fit in the room. They have a one-night-stand and that’s supposed to be the end of it. But fate intervenes and the men are soon working together and living in the same compound. They can’t avoid each other – and don’t…at least in the bedroom.

You can guess what happens next. As Ezra discovers thing about himself that he’d rather not know, Titan begins to re-examine how he’s been living his life – the expectations heaped upon him, the desire not to disappoint his parents, and how he can love the least appropriate person in the solar system and beyond.

This is just a fun romp with lots of quirky humor, alien children with wicked senses of humor, and the notion of how love can flourish even when it shouldn’t. I loved Titan and Ezra’s love story. Just loved it.

I also love Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration. He does such a great job with this whacky cast of characters. He is so talented and this is him at his finest. Well worth the listen and can’t wait for the next one.

I would highly recommend reading the first book to get the full backstory. I absolutely love this series. Although I think both are 5 star stories, I did like the first book a tiny bit more as there was more humor in it.

This story was sweet and steamy with a whole lot of drama but no relationship angst. The plot was interesting from start to finish.

The 2 MCs had instant chemisty, even when Ezra claimed to not like Titan, you could feel the temptation, longing and sparks between them. There was great character growth and relationship development. I don't often like enemies to lovers as sometimes it is taken too far but even though Titan was full of himself, it was clear it was his upbringing, and he had potential from the start. So I really enjoyed both of the MCs.

The side characters were equally as great. I'm looking forward to Corbins book next. I'm also still curious to know more about Judes brother. I hope he gets a book.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. The narrator had a pleasant voice and kept a good pace and flow. He expressed all the emotions wonderfully and brought the story to life. He gave all the characters, even the side characters their own distinct voice that suited them all well and made it easy to follow the story. His accents and female voices were great. Highly recommend listening to this series.

Another great addition to this series

I have been obsessively waiting for this book and I was not disappointed. Titan is...not the best at first. I mean don't ask him, because he will definitely say he is the best to have ever lived, but he's definitely not-it's hard to forget how he made Al feel from book 1. And Ezra has mile high walls that need to come down so honestly, I didn't immediately warm up to him either. But I loved Scott and Fox's writing from the very beginning (so many chuckles) that I was along for the ride and what a ride it was. Talk about character growth! These are almost two completely different main characters by the end of the book, but that's just because they're becoming who they are truly meant to be. It's the series that just keeps on giving

An absolute delight, silly and hot and surprisingly emotional all at once. The adorably absurd way the Darvrokian aliens interpret Earth, human customs and the English language is a source of constant giggles. Add to all this light hearted humour some very emotional developments between the MCs and it's a story (and series) that keeps on giving.

It was an amazing listen. The characters, the story, the narrator—I wouldn't change a thing. I absolutely can't wait for the next book!

Titan is as smug as they come and Ezra hates him and wants nothing to do with him. When Ezra gives in to Titan he expects it to be one and done but Titan is persistent and won’t give in until Ezra says yes. I am hoping the next book will be Corbin’s book after the ending.

Ezra and Titan had fantastic chemistry. Titan made me crack up and he came such a long way from what he was like in the beginning. There were times I thought Titan wouldn’t follow his heart but he proved me wrong.

Fantastic performance by the narrator.

Funny and entertaining
