Loved the narration of Glynn Holmes Sr, who brings the action, drama to this mystery

Detective Robert Mason is a veteran with the Atlanta Police Department. His daughter Samantha is also a police officer. The two of them team up, to solve the brutal murder of Restaurant owner Claude Moreau. This book is full of action, will the father and daughter team must find the killer before they strike again.

OK.

This is a decent story with twists and turns along the way. The detective Robert Mason and his daughter investigate the murder of a resteraunt owner who noone seems to care about. The daughter who is an FBI trainee comes home after her father is shot protecting a senator to assist him. For me the story falls a bit flat at the end when an arrest is made but other readers may have a different opinion. Glynn Holmes Sr's narration is good but the quality of the recording does leave a bit to be desired.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.

An Easy Read.

I received this audiobook for free in return for my honest review.

Probably because of the narrator more so than the easy pace of the story, but I would liken this tale to a Nero Wolfe or Ellery Queen novel. I love those genres, so I really enjoyed this tale. I guessed the bullet immediately, although I didn’t even remotely guess the perpetrator. Cleverly done.

The narrator, Glynn Holmes Snr, suited the narrative (although surprisingly, he cannot say the word “cupboard”), he had a measured pace which, despite the short chapters (which I loved), kept the story moving, without being dull.

I shall move onto book 3 in due course (if there is one),. I have high hopes for this series.
