Summary
Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!
Nights at Seaside by Addison Cole is the "sweet edition" of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Nights. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.
In Nights at Seaside...Sky Lacroux has finally realized her dream and opened her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She’s happy as can be, preparing the shop for its grand opening and renting a cottage in the Seaside community while renovations to her new apartment are being completed. The only thing missing is the one thing she longs for, and has no control over - love.
Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, plays his guitar at a local bar to escape the painful reality of his father’s deteriorating health and a recent health warning of his own. But when he spots a stunning brunette across the room, escaping reality goes out the window, and the beautiful woman becomes the focus of his next song - and maybe even the rest of his life.
When Sawyer walks into Sky’s tattoo shop and sees the woman from the bar - Sky - the chemistry between them is instant. Sawyer is everything Sky could ever hope for in a man. He’s honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile - but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle - only the battle she thinks he’s waging isn’t the one that threatens to tear them apart.
All Sweet with Heat novels are written to stand alone, so dive right in!

Great listen
We met Sky in Pete and Jenna's story, she is a free spirit glad to be back on the Cape. While on a night out with the Seaside ladies she gets her first glimpse of Sawyer Bass. He is a boxer and poet, loyal to his family. When they meet there is an instant attraction. They are drawn together by their love of poetry and the strong family bonds. When she learns of his fathers illness she begins to understand his need to box, even though she doesn't like it. When this threatens to tear them apart they both realise they have some hard decisions to make. Loved the narration by Melissa Moran.

Nights at Seaside
This is the sixth book in Addison Cole's 'Seaside Summers' Series and it was definitely one of my favorites.
Sky Lacroux has reached the point in her life when she wants to fulfill her dreams and start her own business in the form of a tattoo shop. It is a sweet and unique addition to the already budding Provincetown. She is quirky, carefree with her own unique style and she fits right in with the other Seaside girls.
Sawyer Bass is your typical alpha male who is a professional boxer who has a softer hidden side that composes songs and has a way with words. He is brooding and handsome and is instantly taken with Sky when they lock eyes across a crowded bar. However, there is just one catch...she is against boxing.
Despite the battles Sawyer faces in the ring, he is attempting to conquer a battle within himself as he is forced to decide between retiring from boxing or fighting one last match in order to win funds to help his ill father. The even bigger secret is that he fails to tell Sky the real impact it could have.
Like all of Cole's books, the subject matters are relatable and real and written beautifully to perfection. You will instantly fall in love with Sawyer and his romantic poetic words, and you will revel in being reunited with your favorites from previous Seaside Summers books.
This book is a thoroughly enjoyable read and one that I can promise you will be unable to put down. It can be read as a standalone novel or as part of a new series, either way, you will become a fan.
I also listened to this as an audiobook, the narration was clear, emotive and didn't take anything away from the story at hand. It was the second audiobook I have had the chance to listen to, and I would recommend to anyone who has a busy lifestyle. I love how the narrator switches between the character and tone suits the emotions that the characters are feeling/ expressing. Well worth the read or listen.

Beautiful
We've heard about Sky for a while now, due to her being Pete Lacroux little sister, and it is lovely to hear her story.
Having returned to Provincetown to help her family, Sky is now branching out on her own and opening her own Tattoo Parlour. Things are going according to plan with Blue helping her with the renovations. Now having been home and seen her friends and her older brother, find love and happiness, Sky realises that this is the one thing missing from her life. Unfortunately she has neither control over her heart or time to look. Things change, however, on a night out with friends.
Sawyer Bass is a guitar playing professional boxer. Sawyer is coming up for his last fight and he's hoping that this one will enable him to retire and give him enough winnings to help support his fathers deteriorating health. No matter how much they both feel the instant chemistry, Sky struggles with reconciling the boxing side of Sawyer, with the calm, poetic, caring side of him. As they become closer, they each have battles to overcome if they stand a chance for a happy ever after.
Yet again, a beautifully written story with some strong, emotional storylines. You can really feel for the characters in this book.
