An awesome short story prequel to The Amber Isle the first book in The Book Of Never series, Never is a cracking character, so sarcastic, witty and just an out and out relatable protagonist you could read about all day, after I read this prequel, I just had to download the wholeseries and see what trouble Never gets up to and there is seven books and each book is a specific adventure in Never's quest to learn about himself and where he came from, this prequel sets the stage for the following books, Never, a thief, is blackmailed into stopping a robbery, but he is actually a double crossed, he uses the robbery to gain access to the palace, and explains how he receives the map that sets him on this quest of discovery, Never has a wicked sense of humor, as well as a sense of honour, after this little beauty, I'll be starting the first book straight away, the worldbuilding, plot and setting is something I will definitely grow to love, the narration by Joshua Macrea was brilliant, highly recommend...😁
