About this listen
Stephen 'Pista' Nasser was 13 years old when the Nazis whisked him and his family away from their home in Hungary to Auschwitz. His memories of that terrifying experience are still vivid, and his love for his brother Andris still brings a husky tone to his voice when he remembers the terrible ordeal they endured together. Stephen's account of the Holocaust, told in the refreshingly direct and optimistic language of a young boy, will help every listener to understand that the Holocaust was real, and that, if you have enough love, determination, and will power, there is always a better tomorrow!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I don't like how the story is narrated. It feels like west side story style acting which doesn't fit this book at all. What was one of the most memorable moments of My Brother's Voice?
Haven't finished it unfortunatelyWould you be willing to try another one of Maxwell Glick’s performances?
Perhaps for a lighthearted storyYou didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
After reading many holocaust memoirs, I'm sure the that the story itself is a worthy readnot enjoying it

What did you like best about My Brother's Voice? What did you like least?
I didn't enjoy the author interview at the end of the book.Would you be willing to try another book from Stephen Nasser and Sherry Rosenthal ? Why or why not?
Only if the subject was interesting enough to overcome my preference to avoid this narrator. Was My Brother's Voice worth the listening time?
Yes. I'm always reading as much as I can about this period in history and enjoy hearing from all perspectives. However, this is not a title I would read again.Any additional comments?
It is not for me to make any form of judgement about the story presented. However, some parts of the story appeared to me to be rather incredible. I realise that it was an extroadinary time and situation.I'm afraid I grew weary of the repeated Self-praise.
An Incredible Journey
