About this listen
Death is only the beginning!
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
©2014 Rifujin na Magonote (P)2014 Rifujin na MagonoteThis is a treat to listen to and such a calming one too, this is a definite win and brilliant piece for Seven Seas, I am definitely keeping up with this series as I was already a fan but the wonderful voice makes it a million times better.
Stellar performance oh all levels

Onto the story. The world building is honestly some of the best I've had the pleasure to listen/read through, the whole idea of the six-faced world is down right fascinating. Each of the characters are written in a compelling way as to keep you interested in each of their personal experiences and stories.
The occasional side stories or other characters POVs are a great way to add another perspective on the situations.
Now about the clearly problematic thoughts and activities of Younger Rudeus. I understand that mentally he is at least 30+ years older than the girls and it's especially uncomfortable to listen to when he's physically 10 but in all honesty stick it out, as he grows physically he grows emotionally and mentally into an absolutely great protagonist who you can root for with no issue. (I do not condone the thoughts or actions of Rudeus under 15 years old, that's all I have to say on that)
That's my review. I hope the ending is as amazing as the rest of the series has been and I seriously encourage anyone reading this to give this series a chance
Best light-novel series I've had the pleasure of listening to
