The thing about ML Hamilton's Peyton Brooks series, narrated by Kelley Hazen, is that they are addictive and I am hooked! I have been listening to the series in order and I can highly recommend all of the books so far. Each book is standalone but experienced together they show the progress of the characters in their personal and professional lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. ML Hamilton has the knack of creating complex characters that tug at your heart strings. In this murder investigation, the case should have been open and shut. Except it isn't. The more Peyton and Marco investigate, the less likely that the most obvious clues are actually pointing in the right direction. It is sometimes the most insignificant details that unravel the mystery. Thank goodness one can always count on Peyton to invest herself in her work 100%.

I do not want to give anything away, but if I could I would thank ML Hamilton for the outcome of this book. It was... well... something else!
