Summary

When the body of a newly appointed curate is found in a freshly dug grave, Inspector Haze and Lord Redmond are called to investigate. According to friends and family, the unfortunate man was a veritable saint who’d wanted nothing more than to dedicate his life to God and good works, but the savagery of his murder and the attempt to hide his corpse tell a different story.

Facing increasing pressure to solve the case of the “Cleaved Curate”, Daniel and Jason must delve deeper into the life of Sebastian Slade, only to discover that even men of God have their secrets and that the reckoning can be biblical in its scope.

Perfect for fans of C.S. Harris and Anne Perry.

Excellent

I enjoyed this very much- but the narrator shouldn’t do the accents - other than that I found it an enjoyable listen

Another tale twister for Redmond and Hales

I love this series, with the storylines, the characters and the twists and turns throughout the story.

Murder In The Grave.

I very much enjoyed this book (and the series). I love the characters that Irons Shapiro has created.

Terrible narrator

I have listened to three of these books and I’m struggling to understand why all the women have West Country accents when the books are about Essex, the narrator makes all the women come across as idiots and slow witted, it would be nice if she just read the book and didn’t spoil it with her appalling accents
