About this listen
Marks began to deal small amounts of hashish while doing a postgraduate philosophy course at Oxford, and soon he was moving much larger quantities into Europe and into America. The academic life began to lose its allure. At the height of his career, he was smuggling consignments of up to 50 tons from Pakistan and Thailand to America and Canada and had contact with organisations as diverse as MI6, the CIA, the IRA, and the Mafia. Numerous newspaper profiles, books, and television documentaries have been devoted to Howard Mark's life. Touched with humour, charm, and candour, Mr Nice is his own extraordinary story.

Very interesting but...
Mark is brilliant and you could listen to his voice all day. His life was obviously very interesting but this book seems to never get into the bits you want to hear and dwells a but too much on some other, not so interesting parts.

A truly outstanding story
This guy had a life most people only dream of, I’m sure that he would do things differently given another go.

Arbidged
A great story but an abridged version of the actual book. Still a great listen having Mr Nice himself narrating the tale. Would recommend.

Good story very interesting.
Amazing life Howard Marks led. Not as long as I thought though. Very clever man indeed.
