After reading the short story of the hospital I decided to get this. Enjoyable zombie horror

I liked how mundane the start of the outbreak was. nice little insight into life before for Gus. Narration was good once again. still a few mispronounced words that kinda jar a little bit.

I was blown away by this story. I've come late to The Mountain Man party so this was actually the first episode I listened to. The story is superbly written, creating a vivid and horrifying account of "the beginning". Characterisation is excellent, even the lesser characters have depth. Gus himself is both flawed and loveable. A real person you could believe. It is also the first time I've heard RC Bray and on the strength of this episode I've gone and found everything he has narrated. He is truly magnificent. Whilst the story premise is not new the author draws you into the world in such a way you don't want to leave. I cannot wait to listen to more.

start here follow with the hospital if you are fresh to the series or some things will be spoiled in books 1 to 5, mainly the ending to this one. its tragic this one but a fantastic series.
