As well as learning to trust each other, forgiving enough to move forward, and staying off the Guardians' radar. They also have to deal with Shadowkind and some prejudice against them for being them. We get our link of character from a previous series, and because I've read that series I trust him already, but I watch as they learn to trust him in this new angle as a allie in a new world out to destroy them.
Oh, and the steamy moments get better. My favourite so far, as we are not dealing with monsters with 100s of years of experience. Nope, most are just instincts and raw needs. and it's hot yet sweet, smut!
Now the ending, I kinda saw something like this twist coming. But I'm not disappointed, I'm just eager to find out if blood family is complete or destroyed in the next book.

I love Eva's books! I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am really enjoying the relationship between Riva, Jacob, Zian, Andreas, and Dominic. It is extremely messy and complicated since she walked back into their lives. But I can't help but root for them. I can't wait to see how it will continue to progress over the course of the series. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on another amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to jump into the next book in the series Captured Fate.
Amber and Adam did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for an urban fantasy romances, why choose romances, or romantic suspense.

The drama, angst, tension, and action continues to climb but then Riva and the guys decide to seek out and team up with the monsters they were bred to hunt, hoping to learn more about themselves and how to control their powers better. We meet some interesting new characters as well as an old friend and some complexity is added to the story.
Then as only Eva Chase can she managed to build the tension and the heat and then again left us hanging on an even bigger cliffhanger than the last one.
I love this series and am so eager to listen to the rest.
The narration by Amber Lee Connors and Adam Gold is excellent and couldn't be improved upon.
