What was most disappointing about Georges Simenon’s story?

The story was fine, but the cutting of the original story to make it's recounted story to under 2 hours was disappointing.

Any additional comments?

I like to follow story with the book - this was very difficult, as the story in this addition was cut and missed large chunks out. Very difficult to follow.
