Summary

A new home on the brink of disaster. A discovery of forbidden powers. And a savage winter fast approaching. Aldim does not suffer the weak.

The battle’s end was supposed to bring peace and establish the Bravers’ new home in the Shiverglades, but all it brought was pain and suffering. With his closest friends lost to another realm, over half of the settlement’s population injured, and missing supply chains, Hal doesn’t have a moment to rest. He may have won the battle with the Shiverglades, but he has yet to win the war.

The Beastborne has his work cut out for him if he plans to build a Sanctum that’ll last. Worse, a rival Founder plots against Hal, threatening to unleash an entity that is fated to scar the Manaseed and cull the Bravers Guild once and for all. Fortunately, there’s a lot to turn to that isn’t preordained. A Reaper-turned-friend, inventive koblins, industrious dwarves, Wyrd Strain, and Bonecrafting could defy their fate. And he isn’t the only one with newfound Class powers that might give them a fighting chance.

The Bravers Guild needs more than just survival. They need their home whole. But to do the impossible and reach across the divide between Worldshards to rescue their lost companions, the Manaseed’s Elysian powers must be stronger. Can the Bravers Guild Level Up their settlement and their Manaseed through building, fighting, and crafting to conquer the coming storm, or will they succumb to a doomed fate after all?

Internal focus

This was mainly about internal struggle and progression. As the MC goes inside himself we get to see how his group handles the new situation.

Sometimes there where abit to focused on the feelings of the MC. Getting abit less overall progression to let the MC progress. But otherwise this book was just as good as the others with the ending leaving me to just want more.

I’m going back to reading these books

There is excellent world building in this book and I’m looking forward to the next book… I won’t get the audio though. The narrator is a wonderful performer and he brings the book to life but there’s too much stats in this book not new stats either but stuff that’s been in the other 2 books… we had a strong focus on Hal’s stats for first 41 chapters and we also went over some other people’s stats. If I’m reading I can skip over this “filler text”

A great story to listen to whilst at work!

I see a lot of reviews complaining about too many stats etc. When read as an actual book it's easy to skip past these and honestly it's not even that bad. Sometimes things are repeated however it doesn't pull you from the story.

The beastborn series Is an amazing addition to the LitRPG genre. the idea is great and this book sets up so many great stories for the future. Parts had me laughing out loud and the character interactions really are great. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

More stats than story

Couldn't finish it, more filler stats than moving the plot along. First book didn't seem to be this bad.

Disappointing for this series

I have listened to many litrpg's now and this series has become one of my favourites. The first two books were entertaining, lots of action and progression with the story and characters.
However I feel this book was a let down, nothing of interest happens. I have spent over 20 hours waiting for the story to get moving. Most of the time was spent at the settlement which was interesting as I do love a bit of base building and so on. I did lose interest half way through though.
I really do hope the next book in the series can improve on this one, it was a much slower pace, which may have been needed to set up the following story line and character relationships.
However keep up the good work, I'll be looking forward to the next book and seeing more of Hal and his friends adventures.

Boring

Really disappointed, loved the first 2 but this one felt really drawn out. Nothing really happens till the last couple hours and then it ends really abruptly.
