About this listen
When Peyton and Marco embark upon a vacation to Kauai, they are only looking for sunshine, blue waters, and white sand. Although they feel guilty about stealing time for themselves, they know they may not get another chance to concentrate on each other without the pressure from both of their jobs driving them apart.
The beautiful island of Kauai welcomes them, and they begin to relax, until a body is found floating in the hot tub at their hotel with a poisoned arrow sticking out of his chest. Whether they want it or not, they are suddenly thrust into a mystical whodunit, but the one thing Marco and Peyton do well is work together, and there is no one who can solve a case quite like they can.

What I found fascinating was how This audiobook felt like season 7 of the Peyton Brooks TV series, except it is in an audiobook format. I loved the characters, the gripping storyline and the humour despite the somewhat serious nature of the content (after all, this is murder). I loved how the book, while focused on Peyton and Mario's honeymoon, frequently covered the rest of their team. I think I could have only enjoyed this book more if I had read the previous books first because there are past events that at referred to for which I had no reference. That may be something to consider if this is your first book in the series.
Do I recommend this audiobook? Absolutely! It was entertaining, gripping, well narrated, and so easy to commit to!
