This book was a sweet story of two best friends that have loved each other for a long time but bad choices were made when they were younger that broke them apart.

Misty left Alice behind and moved so she could have a singing career and she became a celebrity.

Alice got her dream job at the library and was a single mother to her now teenage daughter.

But Alice and Misty never stopped loving each other and this book is about them getting to know each other again,
making up and saying sorry for the mistakes they made, especially Misty as she left Alice behind.
The story is written from both woman’s point of view.

Excellent narration by Lori Prince as always.

Twenty years is a long time. For me, too long to accept that something like this could ever happen but I finished it accepting that it is a work of fiction. Many repetitious lines of regret. This one just wasn't my cup of tea it's my second audio book by Jea Hawkins. I really enjoyed As Long As Love Lasts so I was disappointed with this one.
