This book finishes the story of Harold, Queenie and Maureen beautifully. It is sad, but the pain comes full circle and it does finally ease for Maureen as it did for Harold and Queenie. Home truths are faced after decades of shutting it out.
The narration is excellent. I loved all 3 books of this series. You must read them in order, of Harold Fry, Queenie Hennessey and Maureen Fry.

I was slightly apprehensive starting this book as I'd found the previous two in Harold Fry's trilogy so beautiful and so moving. I shouldn't have worried. The same magic continued and I love this too. I don't think Penelope Wilton's narration could be surpassed.

it's not the strongest in the trio, just like Maureen is not the strongest character, but it was needed just like she is and it was an enjoyable listen.

I enjoyed all three books in this story. I think Maureen's was my favourite though. I was so invested in her character by the time I'd read the other two that I desperately wanted Maureen to find some comfort and be able to grieve her son. Beautifully written and Penelope Wilton was the perfect choice to read it.
