Rob and his now ex-wife, Victoria, met at university. Their relationship started off happily, they married and moved to Falmouth in Cornwall. However, it quickly descended into a nightmare marriage of psychological manipulation, coercive control and emotional abuse - all from the woman who was supposed to love him.
Rob's life was gradually destroyed as Victoria extended a web of lies around him, manipulating, suffocating and isolating him from the outside world. It was only through his baby daughter, Grace, that he found the courage to leave Victoria. But even then, Rob could never really escape, and Victoria continued to haunt and torment his life. In fact, her actions became more and more extreme, culminating in approaches to at least six different men with requests to help her murder Rob.

Compelling and hard to turn off
A compelling story that is hard to turn off, I finished this book in around 48 hours and found Rob's performance clear, and engaging. The story is written to the point without endless pointless frills. Give it a go- its a super easy listen and an great insight to this crazy story.

Hell hath no fury
A true life psychological horror story.
Well written and read by the author who's ex wife victimised and terrorised him, trying to ruin his reputation and his life before seeking to have him killed.

Wow
What a relentless journey. This really is fantastically written. Gut wrenching and shocking, repeatedly. I'd highly recommend listening.

Compulsive listening
This is an incredible book . The story line is unbelievable, yet absolutely true . A book like this, although disturbing in places, has been needed for a while . It is the story of a devoted fathers fight for his child and ultimately his life . It was very well read by the author . I simply couldn’t stop listening .

Very powerful
I first saw this story on the 24 hours in Police Custody episode and really grabbed me. I downloaded this on day one and whilst I haven’t finished it yet it has gripped me from the first moment I pressed play. If anyone wants to know about things like Coercive control and domestic abuse this is an all too real account of it. Highly recommended
