I found it asy to follow.
Easy to follow with practical phrases to learn and great ideas on how to remember words. Highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to learn Mandarin.

Deteriorates to a gibberish final chapter
Started ok, but translation quality plummets to gibberish in the final chapter. I'd recommend skiping that one unless you fancy a bit of torture. Nice if they brought it to a sensible speed and focused on clarity would have increase score.
