This book is the first of a 3 part series and isn't a bad listen but I am not sure the series is really worth 3 credits.
What we really have here is a 16 hour book split into 3 parts and the splits are quite arbitrary.

Its not 3 linked shorter stories which each can stand alone but one book sliced into 3, and 3 credits is quite a lot for this. If at some point all 3 are bundled together for 1 credit that wold be much better value.

Now I have that off my chest to the book.
First the narration by Kate Marcin is excellent she has a good range of voices for the different characters and a clear and enthusiastic reading style..

The Story is fine, although a bit implausible, and holds the interest. I know no story with vampires werewolves demons sirens etc is really plausible but you know what I mean. It has a bit of a YA feel to it except for the 18 rated bedroom action and swearing which makes it totally unsuitable for a younger reader.

The Characters are great you cant help but like the key players Mollie ( the only human) being my favourite and the baddies are suitably evil. A tale of good v bad

The book was going along quite nicely most characters now established and then it stopped - see above.
The second book carries on from exactly where this one ends.

If you are enjoying it keep going with the others - they continue pretty much the same to complete a decent full story

Its my first book by either of the 2 authors and there is enough there to persuade me to try more but might be looking for when available in some sort of 2 for 1 deal if 5-6 hours is a usual length.
