Summary
Two husbands secretly agree to a night of passion - with each other's wives; a slighted old man takes an elaborate and chilling revenge on his tormentor; a sculpture comes between a scheming wife and her put-upon husband....
Lust highlights a domestic familiarity always on the edge of something much, much darker. Collected together for the first time, stories include 'Madame Rosette', 'Neck', 'Georgy Porgy', 'The Visitor', 'The Last Act', 'The Great Switcheroo', 'Bitch', 'Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life', 'The Ratcatcher' and 'Nunc Dimittis'.

Sexy and dark
A great collection of short stories by Roald Dahl, mysterious, sexy and dark.
They are performed by an amazing cast of narrators who manage to give each story its own unique atmosphere. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.
The only thing that took away from a great listening experience was that there was no pause between the stories. As soon as one ended, the next one started, even if I set the sleep timer to stop at the end of the chapter.

Great selection of short stories
All the stories have a strange atmosphere but each is very clever, written by a master author and beautifully read.

Poor editing spoilt my enjoyment
The stories are wonderful but unfortunately within a second of one short story ending the next begins - no time to smile/gasp in horror/chuckle. I’ve given up because each story is spoilt for me by the lack of a pause

Brilliant performance but lazily collected series.
Roald Dahl's short stories are among the greatest ever written and the performers do a wonderful job, that cannot be argued. It is a bit disappointing that Penguin have decided to split up their definitive collection 'Completely Unexpected Tales' and, instead, produce a series of shorter collections based on arbitrarily decided themes. Curiously, one of the stories (The Umbrella Man) is included in two of the collections. Can't really knock the content but would have preferred it to have remained in the same length as the printed version.
Given the extra cost now associated with spreading the stories over several collections, it is very lazy to not title the Chapters. Each story has a title - they are not chapters in a novel.

Average reading
Enjoyed most of the narration. A little long-winded at times and stories became difficult to follow.

Worth it for the first story alone
Madame Rosette might be my favourite all time short story. It's performed brilliantly here. 4 stars as the others don't quite reach the same heights, although listening to Mark Heap is a treat.

poorly edited but brilliantly written
Badly produced, however some good vocal performances, a couple of robotic voices. Brilliant stories as expected

Roald Dahl meets Joan Collins
I love RD and this is fun at some level, but predictable and indulgent. Some fantasies are best left in your head.

The Richard E Grant stories were my favourites. A fun collection of stories by the master story teller.
