Helped me understand

As a man, this helped me better understand what some women go through, so that some of their actions and behaviours that were confusing and hurtful to me, became more comprehensible

I recommended this book to all my friends

I'm so happy I bought and listened to this book. I recommended the book to all my friends since every woman I know suffers from losing themselves more or less in a relationship.

It's obvious the writer did her research but also really cares about her readers and really tries to help them. There are countless exercises and book recommendations next to the advise already given in this book. The book starts with information and lists to check off to make you conscious of your own situation. Then the book gives countless examples from other women's situation while focusing on causes for your behavior by speaking about society, psychology and childhood trauma. The book gives a lot of advice about how to better your relationships and most importantly to better your feeling of self-worth. The book ends with advise how to seek help through therapy, if needed.

I'm just still amazed how much valuable information this book offers. The only downside of this book, in my opinion, was that it focuses a great part on women who don't stand up for themselves and so to speak fall victim to caring to much on their partners. I know my friends and I portray losing ourselves by controlling men and not being able to open our hearts to them. I wish there was more information on this in the book.

I want to add to this that I really enjoyed listening to this book because of the narrator. It really seems like she's telling a story by using a concerned and loving voice and even different accents when appropriate, while still staying professional.

But overall I would recommend this book to every woman who wants to connect back to herself and feel like she's not alone!
