Summary

They call her America’s sweetheart.

And me? I’m the so-called “inked god” she dumped on TV.

I’ve tried to forget her. I’ve tried to move on.

Until I discover that her family is opening a new restaurant next to my tattoo parlor.

If I were a gentleman, I’d offer my congratulations and go my own way.

If I were a gentleman, I’d let her be...but I’m not.

Savannah Rose may claim I’m nothing more than a friend, but that slight hitch in her breath whenever I get too close says that America’s sweetheart is nothing but a liar.

All it takes is one scorching kiss, and I vow in her ear: “You’re going to beg. Beg me to touch you, beg me to give you more, and if you’re real good, maybe I’ll do it all over again before you have to beg for that too.”

I’m no gentleman. But Savannah Rose? She’s no one’s sweetheart but mine.

Love Me Tomorrow is a steamy slow-burn romance with a splash of the forbidden. It's the third and final book in the highly anticipated series Put a Ring on It and can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Amazing bachelorette-esk friends to lovers romance

Love Me Tomorrow is book three in the Put a Ring on It series and is the second chance, opposites attract romance of Owen and Savannah.
Owen is a reformed bad boy. Having worked hard to put the past behind him, he decides to head to LA to show his best friend Savannah Rose that he has feelings for her by taking himself out of his comfort zone and being one of the bachelors on the Put a Ring On It (The Bachelorette style) reality show where Savannah is the Bachelorette. He was prepared to bare his soul on national TV, but what he wasn’t prepared for was being sent home on the first night. Seven months on and Owen is still coming to terms with what happened that fateful night. His inability to move on isn’t helped by the fact that he is plastered all over the gossip rags now that the show is airing so he has thrown himself into work, and being the best tattoo artist in New Orleans he is kept super busy, that is until Savannah comes back to town and has taken over the space next door to Owen’s studio and is tasked by her father to get Owen to sell them two properties he rents out above the studio. Along the way the two begin building bridges and working to get their friendship back on track. Will Owen get over what happened on the show and what happened with Savannah’s Dad in the past and be brave enough to put his heart on the line a second time?
Savannah comes from an affluent family, and she has allowed her parents to control almost every aspect of her life. She loves her sister unconditionally and she takes the heat and pressure from their parents to give her sister t6he freedom she’s never had. So, when her mother signs her up to take part in a dating show, she goes along with it as her sister is also participating, however, she didn’t except a family secret to come out before filming started and her sister pulls out leaving Savannah on her own. So, imagine her surprise when the guy she’s had a crush on for as long as she can remember steps out of the limo outside of the Put A Ring On It mansion s one of the bachelors, only she spooks and sends him home immediately.
Fast forward to the present day, the show has wrapped filming and Savannah after a detour to spend time with her sister in Italy has finally returned home to New Orleans only to find out she will be overseeing the new project which happens to be next door to Owen tattoo studio. Will these two former friends finally communicate, get on the same page, and give in to the lust and desire that is palpable between them?
The amazing Jason Clarke and new to me narrator Aure Nash bring Maria Luiz’s words to life in the most incredible way. Jason’s performance of the tattooed demigod who is an award-winning tattoo artist was breathtaking. In true Jason fashion he took us from feeling sorry for Owen to rooting for him, to swooning after him and finally cheering him on through his revelation. Jason draws out every single emotion expertly.
Aure took a little bit to get used to, this is the norm for any new narrator and isn’t a reflection on Aure or her work. However, once I warmed to her style, her portrayal of Savannah was superb. Aure perfectly showcased Savannah’s struggles with her duty to her family, her love and need to protect her sister and the way she wants to right the wrongs with Owen and put her own happiness first for a change. A fantastic narrator duo who couldn’t have been more perfect for these characters.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The Bachelor/ Bachelorette are two of my favourite shows so having a book with this theme was a delight to my ears. I loved everything from the main characters to the side characters to the relationship between the sisters to the connection that is undeniable between Savannah and Owen to the amazing tropes that are tackled perfectly!

Steamy Friends to Lovers Romance

An ALC of this book was provided to me by Forever and Always PR, but all opinions are my own.

📖: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

🥵: 🌶️🌶️.5/5

Love Me Tomorrow is the third book in the Put A Ring On It series about contestants on a reality dating show similar to The Bachelorette. Despite being linked, they are all standalone stories (this is the first I've read!). This book follows the story of the 'Bachelorette' from the show, Savannah Rose, aka 'America's Sweetheart', and Owen Harvey, her close friend, sister's ex and surprise contestant on the show.

I really enjoyed the premise of the series, that these characters were all on the show to some degree (the first 2 books are about the guys who make it to the final round before Savannah rejects them both). The key themes of being hounded by the press and social media and putting in a performance for the public were really well dealt with

I really liked both of the main characters. Savannah was hard-working, ambitious, caring, but felt so much pressure to conform to her family and society's idea of what she should be. Her growth through the book was really noticeable.

Owen was also so good, he had so many demons! He's depicted as this bad boy, but really he's an absolute sweetie and has worked hard to move on from the bad things in his past.

The chemistry between them was palpable, and is only increased by her dad's business ventures and the rivalry this sparks. They were combustible! The spice was so good, and so believable as well.

The dual narrators, Jason Clarke and Aure Nash, were very strong, with brilliant pacing and discernable characters. Clarke was strong and steamy as usual! Nash is new to me and did a stellar job. My biggest criticism is that there was no consensus between the narrators regarding the accents! Nash used a brilliant Louisiana drawl for both MCs whereas Clarke did not.

Overall, this was a great listen! I will absolutely be looking for the other books in the series!
