Summary
“...give me three months.” “Three months for what?” “To make you love me.” For years I’ve withheld my feelings for my best friend, Monique. After dating losers, she needs a man who’s docile, safe … a nice guy.
I’ve never been that.
When we were younger, I couldn’t control my temper when it came to keeping her safe. My loss of control forced the only woman I loved to move hundreds of miles away.
Over the years, I tried to accept that I wasn’t what she needed, even when she became engaged to another man, and it ripped my heart in half.
But then her fiancé turns out to be another scumbag who dumps her after a stay in the hospital due to her type 1 diabetes.
She finally returns to our hometown, desperate to find her footing in life again.
And I’m done sitting on the sidelines.
I’m a grown man now–still dangerous, but I’ve learned to manage my dark urges over the years. I can pretend to be the nice guy she needs if that means finally making her mine. That’s the side of me I don’t allow Monique to see when I tell her it’s time….time for us to be more than friends.
But Monique believes she is a burden I don’t need.
She doesn’t get it….
I offer her a deal. I’ll give her the money she needs to start the art gallery she’s always wanted. And….“...you’ll give me three months.” “Three months for what?” “To make you love me.” Then I hold my breath to see if she takes the deal with the best friend who’s also the devil in disguise…

Actual performance not just reading the words!
I love when an author ensures anything else connected to their project meets the quality of their work! I read this book prior to receiving the audible ARC. The performers did justice to Tiffany's work. The accents of the performers to match the characters, the correct inflection in situations of surprise, anger, frustration ensured that I was hooked from page one to the very end. The female performer truly impressed me with her performance. I found myself really connecting to the way she conveyed both lead characters and the ensemble. The male performer was really outstanding at reading the female parts. I found him a little too growly and intense for some of the angry scenes. This is more reflective of my preferences than the quality of his work. I am very selective of what books I purchase on Audible due to the cost, Love Me is in the top 5 of my favourite audible performances in this category. The story remains outstanding and for me the performers added a little something to the work the author created. It brought the works to life. Outstanding.

Love it
Loved the book and the audiobook was just smoking. You can’t go wrong with Sean and he is brilliant as Diego. I’ve never heard J.Shane before but love her voice so will listen to more of her too. Definitely recommend

Great friends to lovers relationship
Audiobook review: narrated by J. Shani Michaels and Sean Crisden
Diego and Monique have one of the best friends to lovers relationships. The chemistry between these two is palpable. Diego's willingness to do anything for her had my heart melting so many times. The backstory was full and created a believable progression of their relationship. I also appreciated the chronic illness representation in the story. There was a little bit of redundancy in the story that was a bit distracting at times but overall I really enjoyed this book.
The characters were brought to life in my mind by some of the best, emotion filled voice acting. These narrators embodied their characters so well I had a hard time turning this book off. If you haven't read this yet, I highly recommend it on audio.
