Summary
LA cop Jericho Crewe got the hell out of Mosely, Montana, when he was 17. Fifteen years later, he’s back, and everything is just as messed up as when he left. He planned a quick visit to deal with his injured father, but of course things are never that simple. Family complications, police complications, social complications—and, as always, Wade Granger complications.
Jericho and Wade had been so close, once upon a time. First friends, then more than friends—and then, after Jericho’s escape, nothing. Wade’s magnetism hasn’t been lessened by a decade and a half apart; even when Jericho learns that Wade is the prime suspect in the death of Jericho’s father, the old connection still sparks. When Jericho’s newly discovered half siblings are kidnapped, he needs to trust someone to help him find them. Wade’s a terrible choice, but Jericho’s never been known for his good judgment. Anyway, he’d rather make a bad decision with Wade than a good one with anybody else.

I love the narration of Nathaniel Gray, he brings out the characters , the danger, and actions. Perfect for this book.
After Jericho leaves Mosely when he was 17 , he joined the army and is now a LAPD detective. But one call that his father was in accident. He finds himself back home. He finds a stepmother and two siblings at home. More trouble is in store, in the shape of the Eli Crewe, who are running wild with crime in Mosely.. With the help of his old friend, Kayla who is now Sherriff he tries to get to the bottom of what is going on, When an incident puts his family in danger, he takes action. Who is friend and who foe.

Very good.
This is a very good listen from Kate Sherwood. It's the first of hers that I've listened to and would certainly listen to more. A phone call from Jericho's stepmother, who he didn't even know existed calls him back to his home town where he discovers rather than injured his father has been killed. Friends old and new are there to greet him but are they all to be relied on? Nathaniel Gray's narration if as usual impeccable and brings the whole story to life. Highly recommended. *****
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.
