Dimitrij Rostovskij proslavilsja kak plodotvornyj cerkovnyj avtor - sostavitel' sbornikov zhitij svjatyh (naibolee izvestnyj, v chetyreh knigah - "Chet'i-Minei"). Rabota nad zhitijami svjatyh byla nachata 6 maja 1684 goda i prodolzhalas' v techenie 20 let. Moisej byl chelovekom, kotoromu Bog otkryl tajny bytija: sotvorenie mira i cheloveka. Na gore Sinajskoj on prinjal ot Boga 10 zapovedej Ego. Siloj Bozhiej tvoril velikie znamenija i chudesa. Prestavilsja 120-ti let v strane Moavitskoj.
