Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Am I a murderer? You tell me . . .
You probably already know my name. Lucy Chase, the woman who doesn’t remember murdering her best friend.
Even though they couldn’t find enough evidence to charge me, I know you all think I did it. That’s OK. I realise being found wandering the streets the next day covered in her blood wasn't a great look.
Believe me, I’m as frustrated as you are. I’d love to know if I’m a murderer – it’s the sort of thing you really should know about yourself, isn’t it?
And now, thanks to true-crime podcast Listen for the Lie, I finally have the chance to find out. But will I be able to live with myself if it turns out it was me?
And if it wasn’t, will digging into the secrets of the night I forgot make me the next target of whoever did?
Perfect for fans of HOW TO KILL YOUR FAMILY by Bella Mackie, NONE OF THIS IS TRUE by Lisa Jewell and MURDER IN THE FAMILY by Cara Hunter.

5/5 my first finished audiobook. Brilliant
This book was brilliant. I tried another audiobook before this one and got about two chapters in before I couldn’t bare to listen anymore. I feared all audiobooks would be the same but this was brilliant. I kind of wish I had read the physical book it was that good. Narration was brilliant. Was easy to distinguish who was talking. I honestly thought there was 3 people reading this till at the end it only said two names.
The storyline was brilliant. It had me hooked from the start. Lucy was so likeable in her stand offish, sarcastic, hilarious mannerisms. The whole way through the book I was back and forth between who I thought was the killer. Sooooo good.

Audiobook perfection
Superbly narrated and a wonderful and quirky whodunnit. The whole set up of this book makes for audiobook perfection. Perfect for true crime podcaster fans (which I am not), mystery and thriller fans (which I am) Interesting characters and great humour throughout. The protagonist is deeply flawed but also do easy to admire. Highly recommend this one!! ♥️

Darkly funny
Clever, shocking, sad but wickedly funny in parts. The characters are so well created. The performance was spot on and keeps you gripped! Would definitely recommend and have done ;-)

3.5 stars rounded up to 4…
I liked the storyline and the characters very much. I didn’t give it more stars because the ending was a bit confusing to me (and also because I pictured it very different in my head). I like all the twists and turns involving the affairs between characters (that made it intriguing). Another thing that I loved was the shades of grey on Lucy and Savvy, they were both kinda mean girls at high school so once the crime was committed, one doesn’t actually understands who is faking and who is being real. The podcast episodes between chapters were awesome too and I really liked Ben character. I love these kind of reads especially once autumn is all set, so I will be getting into more thrillers as I need some cognitive break every now and then, and these stories are definitely my thing.
