About this listen

Would you listen to Leutnant Gustl again? Why?

Totally. I read it, I listened to it and I will do it again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Leutnant Gustl, he's pretty much the only character

Any additional comments?

Leutnant Gustl is a classic and always great listening to in a spare hour. Following Leutnant Gustl through one night in Vienna with all his fin de siècle problems that seem sheer ridiculous now is a pleasure. Without even realising you find yourself in the centre of the story after only a few minutes of listening and before you know it you you've come to the end.
I gave only 4 stars for the performance as I strongly believe this book should have been narrated by someone with a Viennese accent. This would make the listener feel even closer to the story.

A classic Viennese novel
