About this listen

A fresh and original take on a mystery within a mystery

Fresh from the inner city, Vince and Kate are new to the suburbia of Tabbett Drive, delighted to have accessed this middle-class paradise. They've even found the neighbours remarkably friendly; Jill and Dennis Seagrave seem particularly affable. However, Kate begins to detect all is not as it seems with the Seagraves. Can it be that beneath the fagade of this perfect suburban calm lie secrets as dangerous as any inner city? Is everything - is anything - as it seems?

I did enjoy the book but found myself confused in places - this could just be me of course! - However, overall a good book brought to life by the excellent narrator. I did enjoy the fact that the book is made up of letters.

Unusual listen

This is a much more unusual listen for me as it’s purely complied of letters. At times I wondered if it could be more bonkers, but I listened to the end and I have to say I did rather enjoy its oddness.

I really enjoyed this book. Laughed out loud many times. Brilliant narrator that really brought the characters to life. Yes there was the odd occasion when I thought audible might have crashed and repeating parts but it soon becomes clear why.

Loved this book!
