Summary

Wouldn't it be great if life came with an instruction manual?

The good news is there is one - and it's filled with simple, practical (and enjoyable!) lessons to help us understand why we're here and what life is all about. For example:

"This life on earth is a gift. It is fun. It is a training ground, a diversion, a vacation. It is an exercise in re-learning all that you already know. It is a way to express all that is good - joy, peace, love, gentleness, power, poise, wisdom, confidence, blessings, hope, and security. You have chosen this set of circumstances so you may grow. So do so. Laugh and love and live joyously. Be confident of your good and simply accept it. The physical world will change according to your will if you will just believe."

That statement is from the gentle voice of wisdom speaking through the highly acclaimed book Lessons from the Source: A Spiritual Guidebook for Navigating Life's Journey.

The refreshing, reassuring perspective on life found in Lessons from the Source can help us meet life's challenges and build a foundation for our own personal belief systems.

Law of attraction approach, much wisdom

The author is generous in sharing extracts from the book on social media. I've been meaning to read or listen or read this book for a very long time.

I knew in advance that I would find great wisdom within the book. I wasn't disappointed. I hadn't anticipated how soothing and uplifting I would find it. It gave me gentle reminder to apply my knowing that there is so much more going on than appears on the surface of things.

Another delight was to find that it was read by the author himself. I was astonished how excellent he was at narrating, but he includes some of his story in the book and it turns out that he is trained as a voice-over presenter.
It worked beautifully, like hearing words of wisdom from a gentle friend who is walking the spiritual path.

My only reservation is that if I had read this book early on in life it might have tightened my attachment to trying to control how my world looks through a law of attraction type approach.
Instead I favour relaxing into what is. That message is also in the book, but I think I would have missed it.

If you're looking for a spiritual book to help you keep applying spiritual principles in your daily life, then I highly recommend this book.
