Summary
Getting out of the military isn’t easy…Especially for Jack Carter, a well-trained and idealistic Recon Marine. Despite his diverse training, his skills were never put to use in the service of the greater good. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, he, like many veterans in reality, found himself adrift in the civilian world.
Jack's charismatic and humorous friend, Carlos Ortega, steps in to help him by suggesting a career as a Private Security Contractor. During his training, Jack forms a bond with the stoic and exceptionally professional Javier “Sal” Salvatore.
Upon completing their training, Jack, Carlos, and Sal are assigned to a security team responsible for safeguarding a group of archaeologists on a quest to locate Yamashita's lost gold. Along this journey, Jack crosses paths with Maria Gutierrez, a cunning and captivating archaeologist driven by a relentless hunger for lost artifacts.
As the team delves into World War II bunkers and uncharted islands, they come face to face with an enigmatic force that they must confront with the assistance of the CIA and SEAL Team 6. A race against time begins as they strive to secure a mysterious relic before it lands in the wrong hands.
The 'Legend of Yamashita’s Treasure' is an enthralling tale brimming with unexpected twists and spine-tingling moments of horror, intertwined with elements of romance and humor. This narrative seamlessly blends pulp adventure with realistic tactical action, ensuring that readers stay on the edge of their seats, hungry for more.

Maybe the author would be better with writing kids’ books. The narrator certainly would be more suited to reading to kids.
