Beautifully-crafted storyline. One of those books I have been awake until 2am to listen to 'just another chapter.

Bitter-sweet story of love, passion and longing.

Beautiful, Just Beautiful

I found the narration really really irritating. All the men sounded so pompous and aggressive. made the enjoyment of a food story difficult.

disappointing narration

Worth persevering with as found first 3 or 4 chapters didn’t capture me like her books normally do.

Found it hard to get into but really enjoyed it after chapter 3

Great story, well written and well read but a bit to close to real life for my liking lol

A roller coaster

I enjoyed this book, and the story was interesting. I liked the intertwining of the plot too. Took me a while to get into it and to follow the two plot lines, but overall a nice easy book

This was a lovely book, not my normal choice but was the bargain of the day so thought I’d give it a try. Easy listen

Great story

I think the author did such a good job of reinventing what society was like in the 1950's & early 60's that her love story, intertwined with a modern relationship story, became a bit OTT, & like a Mills & Boon fiction. Good comparison though how people thought, then & now. Love certainly seems to have lost some of its innocent lustre in modern times!

Because set partly 1960 becomes a bit Mills & Booney

Jono Moyes has produced another fantastic book, cannot wait for the next one. A must read, twists right to the end.

Any additional comments?

I loved how the stories of the different characters came together so perfectly and how they all come to life in their own special way. It's a story full of hope, love and special friendships, but also about break ups and misunderstandings. It all comes together in a happy ending!

A special read
