Filled with cranky old, yet feisty, characters, hilarious episodes, pearls of wisdom and crime cracking escapades as recounted by Walt himself, this is a really fun book. Mr.Kuch performs all with warmth and brings everyone even more alive, especially the 69 years old Kansas cop himself.
For anyone unfamiliar with this marvellous Lady Justice series, do yourself a favour and try one. No need to start at the beginning, although I would recommend it as it is a very funny introduction to characters who will appear later, but each book is completely stand alone. Easy on the ear and covering a wide range of emotions, especially humour, this book is highly recommended.

Walt receives a letter inviting him to a 50th year class reunion, he would rather give it a miss but his new wife wants to know more about his history and talks him into going. Walt being Walt he can't say no to Maggie and everybody else it seems as he gets talked into putting on an Elvis show for the class, as well as decorating the hall and even being part of the cheerleading team. Of course it is not all parties and fun and Walt will have to rope in Ox to run a undercover sting on an old friend. At the same time Walt and Ox receive help from three elderly gentleman who are trying to take down a deadly drug cartel who have been using young and venerable girls to traffic the drugs for them before time runs out for them. Will secret notes and undercover stakes outs be enough to take down a ruthless cartel? Who wants to go quietly into the final good night?
I really like George as the narrator for this series with his gruff voice he never fails to entertain.
